Aerial emergency response with unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) is a dynamic and vital emergency service. The purpose of this multidisciplinary committee is to explore how to integrate emergency UAS operations with the Portland Bureau of Emergency Management (PBEM), Portland Neighborhood Emergency Teams (NETs), Multnomah County Amateur Radio Emergency Services (MCARES) and other organizations.

Many regional and local agencies are currently developing UAS programs for emergency management. Who we are

The Aerial Emergency Response Drone Team (AERDT) is comprised of agency officials, organizers, and volunteers in the Portland, Oregon metropolitan area. The Contacts webpage is a directory of Committee members, supporting volunteers, subject matter experts, UAS industry representatives, and many other contributors.
